Life at the moment

Seriously, I've been meaning to post something for a really long time. Probably wrote 6 drafts, and never hit the publish button. It just feels so weird being home...

Had my first day at work last Tuesday, and I think I'll like it. So much stuff to learn but oh, so much fun! I'm working at Radisson Blu Bodø, at the meeting and convention department. Will do some hours in the reception, restaurant and bar as well, but I'll start by learning how to connect the speakers to a microphone... So far so good, I'm really excited for the next couple of months!
Always Wear Your Invisible Crown
I did have two weeks of vacation before I started though, and it was amazing! Got quite bored at the end, because everyone else were at work/school, but my entire body is thrilled that I got some time off. Spent it doing all the things I haven't done in forever - shopping, spending time with friends and family, celebrating my birthday, going out with my bff - basically living the good life.

Oh, and I've actually started moving my body again. Not much, just going for walks/runs and being more active at work reminded me how much I love it. So I'm looking in to joining a gym, but really want someone to start with me. We'll see how good I am at persuading!

And if you'll excuse me, I plan on spending the rest of the weekend in my comfypants, with a big cup of tea and a magazine.

Fit girls look good naked

Had a great workout yesterday and the day before.
My knees have decided that it's time to say fuck you and stop working again, so I'll stay away from the treadmill for a couple of days... It makes me a tad bit sad, was starting to like running again. Oh well.

Put in an effort to destroy my legs on Monday, and my entire upper body yesterday. Think it worked, everything hurts today!

;)

Just to make one thing clear - I'm not working out to loose weight, I'm building the body that I want.
And this brings me over to this: you've got to work for it! And I'm no expert, I probably don't do half the things I should to get there, but I'm trying.

If you want to loose weight there's a simple recipe: go to the gym, eat healthy and less, drink plenty of water, get enough sleep. And don't give me some bs about having big bones. That's complete bs, and is no excuse.
If you want to build and get everything tight; do all of the above, but lift heavy, eat more (and healthy) and give your body time to rest.

And I'd like to recomend a really great app. It's called myfitnesspal, and you just put everything you've eaten through the day in there and it calculates how many callories you've had (and how many you need). And it takes your workouts into the calculation, so you'll get the right amount based on how much you've burned. It's not all about loosing weight, you can choose between gaining, staying the same or loosing.
A bit of a warning - be carefull, it's so easy to become obsessed with it. Counting every single callorie is not something I'd normally recomend, but I think it's really interesting to see how much I actually need during a day, and how hard it is to not go over/under that number.

Ha! Fact.

So this became a long rant. I'll be heading for a long walk outside later today, need a change from the gym. But first, let me take another #selfie!

How bad do you want it?

I got through the entire game. And when it was all done, I fell asleep faster than you can say fast.

But anyways.. Today is Monday! It's a new week, new possibilites and new goals. Thought I'd share something with you. It's a video/speech that I listen to every single morning. I'll listen to it while I'm doing my make-up, sitting on the buss or walking to the gym. It keeps me motivated. There's so many of these kinds of video on youtube, and this one is the only one that's really hit me. I even have it on my phone!

To me, success isn't getting a high-paid job, going to the gym 6 times a week or keeping my home perfect at all times. If I manage to cross off everything I plan on doing during one day, that one day has brought me one step closer to being successful.
Hope the video makes your Monday a tad bit better, and that it makes some of you more motivated to get stuff done!

The gym

I went to the gym! Holymotherofgod. This is gonna hurt tomorrow.
It seems like a really good place though, and hot damn, there's a lot of meat to look at.
Well hello there...

And now... let's remember that I haven't worked out in ages. Like half a year.
Every single part of my body has been in hibernation for six fucking months.

And yet - this is how I feel at the gym! Kicking ass and taking names.

In reality I look like this...

So yeah.. wish me luck on getting out of bed tomorrow morning.
